With the number of student-athletes and coaches traveling to sporting events, the MLS administration has decided that it would be prudent to pivot to an Afternoon Mini schedule for the school day on Friday, May 10th.

The list of Special School Day Schedules can be found at the bottom of the MLS Cardinal App home page. The Afternoon Mini schedule begins at 7:50 a.m. and concludes the regular school day at 2:00 p.m. Advising and Activity periods will begin at 2:05 p.m. Period Ten and Academic Detention will begin at 2:10 p.m. 

Semester exams will begin on Tuesday, May 21st and run through Friday, May 24th. Each day consists of two exam periods and required concert rehearsals. Please see the final page for the concert rehearsal schedule as well as important exam week announcements. The exam and rehearsal schedules can be found here. Please carefully read through the section entitled "IMPORTANT EXAM WEEK ANNOUNCEMENTS" 

Any MLS guys who are considering pastoral ministry are invited to enjoy some fellowship with the MLS pastors and students from Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary! We'll gather on Friday, May 17th in Instructor Schroeder's 4th floor apartment. Festivities will begin after the regional track meet. (More details to come later.) It will be a blast. We will eat delicious snacks and laugh heartily. Let Instructor know if you have any questions, and let him know you're coming by putting your name on this form. 

Starting on Wednesday, May 8 we will be taking group photos after chapel. If you are in the group scheduled for the day please stay after chapel for a quick group photo.

The library will be open from 3:00-6:00 p.m. this Thursday, May 9, for anyone who would like a quiet spot to work or study before the joint Ascension service. 

The area WELS Congregations will gather on the MLS campus on Thursday, May 9, at 6:30 p.m. to celebrate the Ascension of Our Lord. Prof. Andrew Naumann will lead us in worship that evening. Study halls are cancelled that evening in order to encourage strong participation from the MLS student body. Let's worship our ascended Lord! 

The annual Commencement Concert on May 24 will bring many visitors to our campus. We want to make sure that we are presenting ourselves in a way that will leave a positive impression with everyone in attendance, so we expect close attention to the dress code for the student body.

The young men should dress up wearing shirts and ties. They should look neat and well-groomed.

The young ladies should dress up as well. If they choose to wear a dress or skirt, it should be a modest length that extends at least past mid-thigh. If you feel like you need to keep pulling it down, it is too short. Tops should not be revealing.

Our goal is that no individual should draw specific attention to themselves, distracting our guests from the fun atmosphere of the evening. If a faculty or staff member has an issue with something anyone is wearing, the student will be sent to change before the concert. That could prove difficult when everyone has already packed to go home.

This year's theme - Chosen People, Special Purpose - reminds us both of our treasured status as God's chosen people and our special purpose to declare his praises in all that we do.
